January 28-30th

GOLD COAST FOOD AND WINE SHOW


(Gold Coast Exhibition and Convention Centre) 

You will find our stand right opposite the stage where the Australian finals of the World Barista Championships are happening. This event culminates in the announcement of Australia’s best baristas who will compete in Bogota, Colombia (for best barista) and Maastricht, the Netherlands (for latte art, coffee in good spirits, cupping and ibrik competitions). 

   

May 18-19th

CAFFE CULTURE

 

(Olympia, London)

We are heading back to London to exhibit the Perfect Espresso products – based on the success of last year’s event. And to speak with coffee companies keen to onsell our publications to their customers at very profitable prices. Make your way to Stand A19 for a chat and see the fabulous Perfect Espresso books and training products for yourself. May 21-22nd

BATH COFFEE FESTIVAL 

 

(Recreation Ground, Bath)

Join us for what promises to be a fantastic coffee experience in the historic city of Bath. You will be able to taste blends from around the world and attend interactive demonstrations run by top baristas. June 4-5th

GOOD FOOD AND WINE SHOW

 

(Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre)

Celebrate Melbourne's love affair with good food, top wines, tempting chocolates, delectable cheeses, and of course, great coffee! Discover flavour and inspiration as you lose yourself in hundreds of tasty samplings. Or meet with Kirsty, a newcomer to the Perfect Espresso team who will be getting about as well as ‘holding the fort’ while Christine and Paul are away. June 23-25th

SCAE WORLD OF COFFEE 

 

(Maastricht, Holland)

While the main competition for the international World Barista Championships this year will be in Bogota, Colombia, the four other events associated with this will be in Holland. We will be there to wave the flag for the Australian latte art, coffee in good spirits, and cupping champions. The events are part of World of Coffee 2011organised by the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe. We will be at Stand A64. 

   

July 31st

THE ROCKS AROMA COFFEE FESTIVAL

 

(The Rocks, Sydney)

Join the 100,000 or more caffeine addicts keen to sample $2.00 cups of coffee from dozens of roasters and growers. Tea, coffee and other goodies to go with coffee will also be available at what has become the biggest coffee event in the southern hemisphere. CONTACT US to meet Christine and her group of coffee enthusiasts in the Continental section – for a coffee and perhaps a Belgian chocolate or two. 

   

August 3-5th

ACACA Annual Conference


(Novotel Hotel, Brisbane) 

Using the theme 'Assessment and Learning in the 21st Century', Australian educators will demonstrate and discuss examples of best practice with regard to curriculum, assessment and certification.  With the focus on technology in assessment and how to use general capabilities coupled with school-based data in assessment and a line up of speakers who are leaders in these fields, this conference promises to challenge and motivate.  Coffee Education Network will be there to demonstrate how the Perfect Espresso training resources support these themes and can also save busy hospitality teachers time and energy in the planning and delivery of their lessons and assessment.

HEIA (QUEENSLAND) STATE CONFERENCE

 

(Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre)

Hospitality teachers from all over Australia come together at this annual event – to meet new colleagues and hear the latest initiatives from experts – for bringing new ideas into their classrooms.  At the Coffee Education Network stand find out how you can save yourself lots of time and energy in organising your espresso training and assessment.

   

October 6th 

 BECOME A BARISTA

 

(Blue Sky Coffee, Brisbane) 

Coffee Education Network and Chefs of the Future will join forces to host the inaugural Become a Barista competition – designed to introduce high school students to the standards set by the World Barista Championships and raise their awareness of career pathways for baristas. October 16th 

WORLD FOOD DAY

 

(Veneziano Coffee, Brisbane)

World Food Day is held annually to commemorate the founding of the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization. Across the globe, events are held to raise awareness of problems in food supply and distribution and to raise money to support related projects. Christine will be making a presentation to teachers of the Home Economics Institute of Australia to raise awareness of issues in the coffee industry. Proceeds for the day will go to Coffee Kids (who work with local organisations in Latin America to create programs in education, health awareness, microcredit and food security in coffee-farming communities.) 

   

Nov 30 - December 3rd

CSR GOLDEN BEAN ROASTER COMPETITION


(Sunshine Coast Function Centre, Caloundra)

This exciting event is a competition to find Australia’s best coffee roaster and attracts leading coffee professionals from Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the USA. It is a ‘must attend’ for coffee roasters and suppliers to the coffee industry. Coffee Education Network will be there as the one-stop shop for books and training resources on espresso coffee. Espresso coffee teachers and trainers in the ACT and in nearby NSW are invited to morning coffee and a demonstration of the Perfect Espresso series of books and training resources. Hospitality teachers and trainers in Queensland are invited to a day’s update on hospitality industry happenings.
